What we collect
When you sign in, Supabase processes your email address and authentication information. If you submit a catch report, we store the public river access area you selected, the report details you entered, and an optional photo. We may also store alert preferences, support messages, advertiser inquiries, and account-deletion requests you submit.
App opens and successful sign-ins are counted in aggregate with a new random session identifier each time the app loads. These usage events do not contain an email address, account ID, advertising ID, precise location, or free-form device details. Sponsor impressions and clicks are also counted in aggregate without an advertising ID, device identifier, account ID, or precise location. Private spots and manually entered private coordinates remain in local storage on your device and are not uploaded by Kenai River Pulse.
Location and photos
The current release does not collect or upload your phone’s precise GPS location. Directions use the public destination coordinates of the fishing access you selected. Photo access is optional and used only when you choose an image for a catch report.
How information is used
We use information to operate sign-in, sync settings, moderate catch reports, provide support, improve app reliability, understand aggregate app use, respond to advertising inquiries, and measure the basic performance of clearly labeled sponsor cards. We do not sell personal information or use cross-app behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and server functions; Expo for application builds and distribution; and our hosting providers to deliver the website and application. These providers may process technical logs needed to secure and operate their services.
Public information
Approved catch reports may appear publicly without the reporter’s email address or precise coordinates. Optional photos and notes should not include information you do not want reviewed or displayed.
Retention and deletion
Account information is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and associated reports, photos, preferences, and sponsor inquiries from the account screen. You may also use our external deletion page. Anonymous aggregate app-use and sponsor events may be retained for product and business reporting because they cannot be linked back to an account.
Children
Kenai River Pulse is a general-audience fishing and travel tool and is not directed to children under 13.
